Anita J. Siegel

Anita J. Siegel graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 1973 with a B.A. in Mathematics, received her Master of Arts in Mathematics from Montclair State University in 1977, and her law degree and LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1980 and 1983, respectively. Ms. Siegel taught mathematics in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School from 1973 to 1977. Ms. Siegel was an associate at the firm of Schenck, Price, Smith & King located in Morristown, NJ starting in 1980, and a partner and chairperson of the Tax, Trust and Estate Department of the firm from 1985 to 2006. Ms. Siegel is a founding member at the firm of Siegel & Bergman, LLC, starting June, 2006. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, and before the U.S. District Court of New Jersey and the U.S. Tax Court. She is a member of the New Jersey and Morris County Bar Associations, and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and Tax Section of the Bar.

Ms. Siegel is also a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) since 1991, New Jersey State Chair for ACTEC for the term of 2005 through 2010, a Regent of the College starting in 2009, and a member of its Charitable Planning Committee, Estate and Gift Tax Committee and State Chair Steering Committee, and former member of the Nominating Committee. Ms. Siegel was a member and secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation, Mountainside, New Jersey, for 13 years ending in 2007 and is a member of the Board starting again in 2009, and has been Chair of its Planned Giving Council since 1990. Ms. Siegel is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey, and was a member of its Board of Trustees for eight years. Ms. Siegel is a long time member of the Brookfield Society advisory committee of Morristown Memorial Health Foundation, Morristown, New Jersey. Ms. Siegel is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Community Endowment Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey. She is also a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the New Jersey Community Foundation, the Jewish Federation Metrowest and the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), Newark, New Jersey, as well as a member of the NJPAC Women’s Association. Ms. Siegel is a member of the Board of Trustees and Secretary of The South Street Theatre Co. (Community Theatre located in Morristown, New Jersey)  and was a member of the Board of Trustees of Young Audiences ending in 2009 after 6 years on the Board. Ms. Siegel was a member of the Board of Consultors of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association for the years 1990 through 1996. She was also a member of the Board of Trustees of The New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) from 1991 through 1997, member of its Executive Committee for 1996-1997, and representative for ICLE on the Pension Committee for the joint pension of ICLE and the New Jersey State Bar Association for 1996-1997. Ms. Siegel was a member and chairperson of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce Tax Committee.

Ms. Siegel is a frequent lecturer and author on various estate planning, estate administration and tax issues. She lectures for various professional, charitable and civic organizations, as well as frequently lecturing for ICLE. Ms. Siegel is the recipient of the 2001 Alfred C. Clapp Award bestowed by ICLE for outstanding contributions to continuing legal education in New Jersey. Her articles have appeared in New Jersey Lawyer, the Magazine, and the NJSBA Real Property, Probate and Trust Newsletter. Ms. Siegel has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, published by Woodward/White, Inc., since 1994, and a Top 100 Super Lawyers in New Jersey as listed in New Jersey Monthly for 2005 and 2006, a New Jersey Super Lawyer for 2007 through 2013 and a New York Area Best Lawyer for 2006 through 2013.

Willard Bergman, Jr.

Willard Bergman, Jr. was born in Morristown and resided in Mendham for many years.  He graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1969 with a B.A. degree in Government.  Mr. Bergman received his J.D. degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at The College of William and Mary in 1972 where he served on the Law Review Editorial Board.

Mr. Bergman is a founding partner at the firm of Siegel & Bergman, LLC, starting in June of 2006.  He was an associate at the Morristown, NJ law firm of Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP commencing in 1972 and a partner from 1978 to 2006.  At Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP, Mr. Bergman served on the firm’s Management Committee for 20 years.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.  Mr. Bergman is a member of the New Jersey State and Morris County Bar Associations.

Mr. Bergman’s practice focuses on sophisticated estate administration and related real estate matters, as well as land use and development applications and projects.  He has obtained governmental approvals for the major expansion projects at the Morristown Memorial Hospital and the Community Theatre, Morristown, NJ, for the past decade.

Mr. Bergman is a past-president and long-time member of the Morristown Kiwanis Club.  He is a member of the Board of Trustees and counsel to St. John Baptist School, Mendham, New Jersey.  He served as the attorney for the Chester Township Planning Board for more than 15 years. He also served as a member of the District X Ethic Committee and is a Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Mendham, NJ. In addition, Mr. Bergman is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey, a past member of the New Jersey District X Ethics Committee, and a lifetime member of Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals.

Randi Siegel Weniger

Randi Siegel Weniger is an associate concentrating her practice in the areas of estate planning and administration. She was selected to the 2014 New Jersey Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers, as published in Super Lawyers Magazine as well as New Jersey Monthly.  Ms. Weniger is also a frequent lecturer for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Ms. Weniger is admitted to the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut bars.  Ms. Weniger currently serves as the Secretary of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey, an educational and networking group composed of Estate Planning attorneys, accountants, financial planners and other estate planning professionals. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association as well as the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the Bar.  She is also a member of the New York City Bar Association.

Ms. Weniger received her Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law in 2008.  While in law school she served as the External Affairs Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal.  She also participated in pro bono programs through the Domestic Violence Advocacy Center and the Courtroom Advocates Program.  Ms. Weniger was a summer law clerk for the Honorable Joel A. Pisano of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey during the summer of 2006.

Ms. Weniger received her Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Political Philosophy from Brown University in 2005. She was an active member of the Brown Concert Agency, serving as president during her junior and senior years.  Ms. Weniger was also a member of the all-female a cappella group, the Ursa Minors, and an active member of the Brown Student Union. Ms. Weniger spent a semester abroad at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
